While canceling items can be frowned upon, there are certain situations where it must be done, like an accidental purchase. Below we explain the possible ways a buyer or seller can cancel their order when needed.
As a buyer…
You can cancel an order, but there are limitations. If you accidentally purchase an item, you can cancel that order within three hours.
Here’s how to do this:
1. Go to ‘my purchases.’
2. Click on the item.
3. Choose ‘accidental purchase.’
4. Click cancel item!
You will get an email confirmation and a full refund.
You may also cancel an order if the seller does not ship within seven days. However, due to the COVID pandemic, Poshmark is currently extending this to ten days.
If you aren’t able to do either of these options, you can choose not to accept the item if item is damaged or not as described. You would then have to open a case against the buyer. If Poshmark sides with you, you’ll be able to return the item and get a full refund.
As a seller…
Luckily, there is more flexibility to canceling items for sellers. If your item sells, right after it just sold on another resale site, or it seems to have vanished from your inventory, you can cancel at any time.
Here’s how to do it:
1. You click ‘my sells.’
2. Click item you want to cancel.
3. Click ‘problems/ order inquiries.’
4. Click ‘cancel order.”
You will get an email confirmation and a full refund.
