How to Edit Your Poshmark Photos

Writer's picture: FashionFindsOnlineFashionFindsOnline

Selling on Poshmark is a great way to make some side cash or create a full-time business. Either way, you’re going to want to take and post quality edited photos. This will attract more people to your closet and increase sales. There are hundreds of editing apps available. Today I want to share with you my editing process that works well for me.

Before the editing process, you’ll want to take quality photos. We suggest investing or creating a space that looks fun and professional to display your clothing. Make sure this space has plenty of natural light or invest in a nice ring light/lighting system that works for you. Since I use Poshmark as a business, I felt it was necessary to invest in a high-quality ring light from Amazon.

Here are some examples of creating a visually appealing space to take pictures, with the use of fun props.

Once you have taken high-quality photos, we can begin the editing process. Below are the two tools I love and use for every single item I list.

1. PhotoGrid

PhotoGrid is what I use for basic editing functions and the template feature.

The basic editing function allows you to crop, which is helpful since Poshmark’s pictures are in square format. You can also rotate pictures, add a nice border and background, add text, retouch, and much more. I recommend downloading and experimenting with the features.

The templates allow you to put multiple images in one photo. This is a helpful way to create an appealing cover image for your listing. One example of this is to put a picture of the front and back of your item in one photo. These templates are set up in square format, perfect for Poshmark.

PhotoGrid’s free version allows you to do the functions we listed above. You can upgrade for a about $5/a month or $29.99 a/year. I have never used the upgraded versions; I feel the free one provides me with everything I need.

2. PhotoRoom

I utilize PhotoRoom's free version for the background designs. You can upgrade for $9.49 a month or $46.99 a year. Again, I use the free version because it does everything I need and has tons of backgrounds to choose from.

If you think you may want to upgrade, both apps mentioned offer 3 day free trials.

These two apps are exactly how I create my listings for Poshmark. I definitely see an increase in sales when I take high quality pictures and take the time to edit them.
