How to Increase Closet Visibility on Poshmark

One of your main goals selling on Poshmark should be to increase closet visibility. The more people that see your closet, the more items you will sell.

The key to making more sales on Poshmark is sharing.

Poshmark has created three different ways to share that will increase closet visibility. Self-shares, community shares, and Party shares.

Self-shares

Self-shares allow you to share your listings. They can be re-shared to your current followers (a reason you should be trying to increase your following) or to the Poshmark parties that take place every day, four times a day.

As the picture above shows, your followers will see that you shared some listings and include a preview of those items. If they see this often, your closet will be at the top of their mind.

Whether you are on your phone or computer, the share icon will be on the bottom right corner of your listing. It looks like two tiny arrows chasing each other in a square.

For best results, I recommend sharing your whole closet 3-5 times a day.

Utilize sharing to make your closet easy to find and increase sales. If you want to know how much you are currently sharing, check out ‘Closet Stats’ in your account tab. Challenge yourself to double your sharing this month. Consistent and frequent sharing is the key to success.

Community Shares

Community shares allow you to share other people’s listings. Not only will this give your closet more exposure, but you could also end up making some great connections. If there is a Posher you want to connect with, mass shares their closet then leave them a kind message on one of their listings.

The picture above shows how your followers will see the closets you shared. They will have the ability to browse the items you chose to share, then go to that specific closet if they want. I recommend sharing listings you find trendy or stylish to create a sort of brand style for your business.

As you can imagine, other Poshers will love you for this. If you share a large number of their items, they will likely help you out too.

Make connections, increase closet visibility, and spread the Poshmark love through community sharing. After all, sharing is caring.

Party Shares

Posh parties are held each day, four times a day. These parties have specific themes or items that are showcased. For example, if you have kids’ clothes listed, the kid-themed party will be a perfect place to share those items.

They also have designer-based parties. If you own designer items like Kate Spade or Tory Burch, you’re going to want to share these items to increase their visibility to buyers who are looking for that specific type of product.

For best results, share your items to these parties every single day. Not every party will have a theme that applies to your closet. There are often requirements you must meet when you share listings to a party. However, share as many as you can each day.

Sharing is caring (and success)

The sharing features are the key to success. I recommend sharing your closet 3-5 times a day, pick several different Poshers for community shares each day, and participate in as many Posh parties as possible.

If your main goal with Poshmark is to get rid of old clothes and make some extra cash, these shares likely won’t take a long time.

If you are a reseller or trying to use Poshmark as a business in any way, it may be worth finding and hiring a virtual assistant or bot to do these shares for you.

Regardless of how you get it done, sharing should be a top priority if you want to increase traffic to your closet and ultimately make more sales.
