Before you get too excited about the benefits of becoming an ambassador, you probably need to know how to become one.

How to become a Posh Ambassador

The first thing I recommend is checking out my other blogs. Once you earn the ambassador status, you’ll be looked up to and expected to know what you’re doing. People will start to ask you questions and come to you for advice. So, make sure you are all caught up on the best practices to increase closet visibility and the newest features of 2020.

As far as the official Poshmark requirements that you must complete first, you’ll need to accomplish these 7 goals:

  • Sell 15 items

  • Have at least 50 items listed

  • Hold an average of 4.5 rating, or higher!

  • Have an average shipping time of less than 3 days

  • Share your items at least 5,000 times

  • Share listings from other closets 5,000 times

  • Give one love note for an item you purchased

Once these requirements are met, Poshmark will send you a congratulatory email. Take a screen shot of this and share it to your closet, so your followers know you have reached ambassador status.

The requirements may seem like a lot, but once you get on a roll, it’s hard to stop. Running a Poshmark business becomes exciting and addicting. You may actually have to force yourself to take a break from sharing. The people who become the most successful ambassadors are the ones that show an eagerness to get involved, the drive to continue to better your Poshmark business, and the passion to help others. With these qualities, you’ll make an amazing ambassador.

Those types of people are perfect fits for the job. However, there are definitely types of people that wouldn’t enjoy this job or wouldn’t be a good fit.

Signs you are not fit to be a Posh Ambassador:

  • You don’t plan on keeping your closet updated

  • You have no desire to engage with the community

  • You want the status to look cool or better than others

  • Don’t go above and beyond for your customers

If you fall into one of these categories, being an ambassador will not be a good fit for you.

If you became a Posh Ambassador and start to slip into one or more of these bad habits, Poshmark will likely take away your ambassador status.

To ensure you never loose your ambassador status keep adding listings to your closet, engage with the community, provide excellent customer service, and always follow Poshmark rules.

Becoming a Poshmark Ambassador is a high honor that should not be taken lightly. While there is no need to quit your day job to live and breath Poshmark only, you do need to take the steps to be a trustworthy leader of the community. Follow the Poshmark rules and etiquette and soon, you’ll have new customers flocking to your closet.
